Dear Friends and Neighbours,

This past week our community experienced a devastating loss when two fires broke out inside York Memorial Collegiate Institute. There was extensive damage to the building's interior, but early reports indicate that the exterior of the building can be preserved. Thankfully there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.  Students from York Memorial have been transferred to George Harvey Collegiate Institute. Information on the relocation of City-run programs that were held at York Memo can be found in the 'News' section of this newsletter, along with information about a fundraising campaign to help restore and preserve the historically significant artwork that was damaged inside the building.  This week we are kicking off our Community Visioning Sessions to gather feedback from residents on improvements that can be made in our neighbourhoods. Please check out the 'Community Visioning Sessions' update in this newsletter to find out when there is a session in your neighbourhood!

Wishing you all a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Frances
