Dear Friends and Neighbours,
West Park Healthcare Centre (82 Buttonwood Ave) will begin opening COVID-19 vaccination clinics on their campus and off-site in the community over the coming weeks. To get started, they are holding a small clinic this Saturday from 12-4 PM to administer the Moderna vaccine. Stay tuned for more updates from West Park on other vaccination initiatives. To find out if you are eligible and how to register for a shot this Saturday, please see below.
Today, the City announced the Vaccine Equity Transportation Plan to help ensure vulnerable residents and seniors can access COVID-19 vaccinations by removing barriers to transportation and making it easier to travel to clinics. The City has already been working with multiple partners to plan and deliver this program, including Toronto Ride, iRide, Scarborough Ride, Ontario Health Partners, Uber Canada and the TTC. To find out more about this program, please see below.
If you are 55 years and older and having challenges registering for a COVID-19 vaccine, the York West Active Living Centre is providing services in person and over the phone in English, Spanish and Italian to help guide you through the registration process. Find out more below.
City Staff and the Toronto Police Services Board (TPSB) are working together to implement changes to the TPSB as directed by City Council decision CC22.2 from June 2020. A Police Reform Implementation Dashboard is now available to track how many of the 36 directives from City Council have been implemented. More about this below.
The City is also looking for input from residents to inform the selection of the new Chief of Police. Find out how you can have your say below.
Sincerely,
Frances
