Dear Friends and Neighbours,
With vaccines still at the top of the minds of many, there are many opportunities to get vaccinated in York South-Weston. You can view the clinics coming up for your postal code area under the COVID-19 Update section below.
In the same section you will also find information on how to get a vaccine if you don't have an OHIP card, as well as how to arrange in-home vaccinations for those who are homebound.
As part of the City’s COVID-19 response, Drop-Off Depots are now closed to the general public. Until the provincial Stay-At-Home order is lifted, only existing registered account holders can continue to bring material from Monday to Friday during regular business hours. Household hazardous waste will not be accepted. Registered account holders who are exempt from wearing a mask/face covering, must schedule their time of arrival by calling 311 to be transferred to a depot to book a time.
I encourage you to participate in next week's public consultations on Garden Suites. Garden Suites are detached housing units, usually located in the rear yard, separate or detached from the main house and intended to function as a rental housing unit. They are being explored as an opportunity to expand housing options in the city.
Finally, I want to highlight the upcoming road closures on Church Street, including the closure of the intersection of Weston Road and Church Street from May 13-16th. Details of both are found under the Construction Notices section.
Sincerely,
Frances
